Amorphis is a Finnish metal band started by Jan Rechberger and Esa Holopainen in 1990. Ab initio, the band was a death metal act, however inside late albums it develop evolved into making songs that come extra distinctive when mainstream, but nonetheless by owning progressively complex arrangements.

Amorphis is easily known for their utilize of (a English translation of) the Finnish national heroic poem, Kalevala, as a source for their lyrics.
